Overland is committed to the well-being of our campers. A key component of this commitment is our accreditation by the nationally-recognized American Camp Association. To receive this endorsement, Overland regularly submits to the ACA’s evaluation of our standards and our overall summer camp quality.
We are very good at what we do and while we are completely dedicated to excellence we recognize—and we believe that it is important for all Overland parents to recognize—that we are not perfect. It is also important for parents to understand that our summer camp programs include inherent and other risks, whether the setting is the busy heart of Barcelona or the quiet wilderness of an Alaskan mountain range. Managing these risks is an important part of what we do, and we think it is important that Overland parents recognize and accept that managing risks does not eliminate them.
Since our first trips in the 1980’s, we have sought to partner with Overland parents to help them raise their children to become independent, adventurous and accomplished people. We understand that parents are eager to find the right settings for their children—settings that provide challenge and growth, but that also promise fun, friendship and wholesomeness. Everything we do at Overland is dedicated to helping our campers grow in these important ways.
